Our Privacy Promise
Your individual content — emails, transcripts, sessions, recordings, and submitted data — is NEVER used to train AI models or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Only anonymized, aggregated scores and patterns may be used for benchmarking and improvement.
The Unfair AI LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates The Unfair Studio suite of platforms. This Privacy Policy applies to all eight products:
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information across all of our platforms. References to “Service” or “Services” apply collectively to all platforms above.
We use your information to:
Across all eight products, these protections apply without exception:
We may use anonymized, aggregated data across our platform suite to:
All such use is limited to data from which personal identifiers have been fully removed.
Content you submit for analysis is used to produce your result. Depending on the product, the content and the result (for example transcripts, recordings, practice sessions, drafts and scores) may be kept as part of your account until you delete them, you ask us to delete them, or the retention period for that product ends.
Scores, insights, and session records are retained to support your progress tracking across sessions. You may request deletion at any time.
Account information is retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and operational purposes.
Upon account deletion, we remove all your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law. To request deletion, contact us at support@theunfairai.com.
We implement industry-standard security measures across all platforms, including:
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
Third-party vendors that help us operate the Services — cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, and email delivery. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
We use AI providers to power certain platform features: Anthropic (writing, analysis, coaching and conversation), AssemblyAI (speech to text), ElevenLabs (spoken voices) and Auphonic (audio clean-up). They process content to return a result to us, may keep it for a limited period under their own terms (for example, for security and abuse monitoring) before deleting it, and are not permitted to use it to train their models.
The recording companion, when a host turns it on, sends what the host's microphone hears during a recording (which can include a guest's voice) to AssemblyAI for live speech to text, and the last few minutes of those words to Anthropic to suggest the host's next questions. The host confirms they have told the guest before it listens. We do not store those words unless the host chooses to keep the transcript, in which case it is kept as a file with the episode and removed under the account's file retention.
We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or others.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and your options.
You can connect a Google or Microsoft calendar so that the public booking page only offers times when you are genuinely free. Connecting is entirely optional and The Production™ works without it. This section describes exactly what that connection does.
We read the start and end times of events on your primary calendar, for a limited window around the dates a guest is trying to book. That is the whole purpose: to work out which slots are already taken so nobody double-books you.
When a guest books a slot, we add that one booking to your calendar, so the session appears where you actually look for it. The entry contains the session type, the guest’s name and email, and the Zoom link.
We never add the guest as an attendee. Doing so would make Google or Microsoft send them their own invitation on top of the confirmation email we already send, and would hand their address to a calendar system they never chose. Their details go in the description of your entry instead.
When you cancel that booking in The Production™, we delete the entry we created from your calendar, so a session that is no longer happening does not sit in your diary. We only ever delete an entry using the reference we saved when we made it — see 8.3.
We create nothing else. We do not edit, move or delete events that were already on your calendar, and we do not read or change your calendar settings, your list of calendars, or who a calendar is shared with.
Almost nothing of yours. The times of your existing events are used to calculate free slots at the moment somebody looks at your booking page, and are not kept afterwards — we do not store the titles, descriptions, attendees or locations of your calendar events anywhere. The only calendar entries saved in The Production™ are the bookings it made itself, together with a note of which of your calendars each one was added to, so it can be removed again if a booking is cancelled.
Access credentials are stored encrypted and are never exposed to the browser.
The Disconnect button under Settings → Booking removes the stored credentials for that account, and we stop reading your calendar immediately. Your actual calendar is not touched. You can also revoke access at any time from your Google account permissions page or your Microsoft account privacy settings.
The Production’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to show your availability as described above. It is never sold or transferred, never used for advertising, never used to train AI models, and is not read by any person except where you ask us to for support, where the law requires it, or for security purposes. The same commitments apply to data received from Microsoft.
